Join us at the conference "How Can Green Finance and Insurance Secure a Greener Future?",
organised in partnership with the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce,
on Friday 22 March 2024 at 9am at the Hotel Lev in Ljubljana.
The conference will bring together prominent decision-makers and experts in finance, insurance, and sustainability to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in green finance and insurance products. We will look at current trends in Slovenia, Croatia and the United Kingdom, with the latter being recognised as a leader in this field.
With interest rates rising, the cost of financing green transition investments and technologies is becoming a pressing issue. How can banks play a proactive role in accelerating decarbonisation and what innovative green finance products will drive this transformation? The implications of the green transition go beyond finance, affecting monetary and investment policy. It is crucial to discuss how central banks can encourage financial institutions to actively support green projects, and what fiscal policies and regulations governments can put in place to encourage green investment.
Turning our attention to green insurance products, we will also explore the potential benefits for those who choose sustainable insurance options and the role of regulatory institutions in steering the industry toward environmentally conscious offerings.
